Welcome to the Fayette Society of Fine Art
The visual arts are alive and flourishing in Fayette County, Georgia. The members of the Fayette Society of Fine Art (FSOFA) play a large role in that artistic community. A non-profit group, we celebrated our 15th anniversary in 2009. In addition to sharing an appreciation for art at all levels of achievement, our purpose is to encourage and promote our members' individual artistic skills.
The creation of FSOFA is credited to J.D. Dirkschneider of Fayetteville. The community is very fortunate to have such a patron of the arts. Additionally, we have several charter members that are still active in the club: Sheri Anderson, Dan Garcia, Barbara Kelly, Gerda Kriska, Anne Kuykendall, and Gloria Solly.
Every year, FSOFA presents two art shows - one in the spring and one in the fall. Each member artist has the opportunity to display and offer for sale to the public their work. Members' work is also on rotating exhibit at the Fayette Senior Center, the Peachtree City Library, and several local banks.
